( IT'S BEEN SO LONG SINCE I LAST DID THIS I MISSED THIS )

Of all the times for the poor kid to get lost this was definitely not the best one. Having woken with her memories faint and almost nonexistent, poor Hazel had been in a panic running to and fro looking for someone, anyone who could tell her what was going on. And she had been on the tail of a group she had found for the past couple miles, but at the moment she seemed to have lost them. Little did she know that she had actually found their current gathering place, where many others were beginning to find each other for the first time. It wasn't like poor Hazel had any memories to go off of. Heck, all she could really remember was her...name? Hazel. It was the first thing she had thought of when she'd found herself alone in the middle of the woods. Was that her name? The feline had decided to go for it and so that was who she had now become. Hazel. She was fairly certain that this was not her actual name, but it wasn't like she had much of a choice on that end huh?

The golden tabby feline found herself in some kind of clearing, ears flicking to and fro hoping for some kind of sign that there was someone, anyone, here. Hopefully they were nice. Hazel had latched herself onto following the first group that she had found, but she had decided not to introduce herself for fear that they were mean or dangerous. But now she really had no choice did she? She was alone and unsure of herself in a strange place. Plus...she was kind of hungry. Hopefully they had some kind of food over here.

"Hello?" she called out, softly, her voice breaking slightly. Swallowing her fear Hazel said once more, "Is anyone there?" This time her voice was louder, calmer, and a lot more confident than before.

A young voice had reached the tom's ears whilst hunting a fish, causing him to miss his catch, unfortunately. Shade perked his ears at the words themselves, similar phrases to those he had spoken all those moons ago when he woke up with bits and pieces missing from his memory. He looked down at the stream before the direction of the voice, he was supposed to be hunting for the group but if this voice was in the situation he thought it was in, hunting could wait.

"Hey! Can you hear me?" The siamese called, padding over in the direction of the voice in an almost horse-like trot. He walked like this when he was anxious, thinking it might make him faster when it really only made him look like a silly git.

Summer was pretty much in the same position before finding the group himself, and would have offered his sympathies had he known how worried poor Hazel was. But such was not the case, unfortunately. Like numerous of their fellows, he had woken up with little to no memory, the only thing that he definitely was sure of being his name, Summer. It seemed to be missing something still, but it was too difficult to identify what, although the Summer part certainly felt fitting, so he’d simply taken it all in stride and accepted things as they were, though often he felt as though the other part dangled on his tongue before it was lost in the fog of his memories.

As for the group, he hadn’t exactly introduced himself to anyone yet and was pretty much a tag-a-long. Introducing himself was in the plans, at some point, but he’d gotten sidetracked in the whole adventure of the journey and hadn’t bothered. He’d been traveling with the group for so long now too, that it simply hadn’t occurred to him that he was virtually unknown still.

At any rate, the group was currently taking a break and the youngster was making the best of his with what he felt was a well-deserved nap and a relief for his aching paws, underneath the shelter of a bush. Hazel’s arrival pulled him from his dozing and he blinked open his eyes, catching sight of the golden femme at the the edge of the clearing. Huh, she looks a bit scared. He thought. Pushing himself up with more effort than he really wanted to exert, but would at the prospect of helping out, and into clear view, he spoke, “Er, hi.” His own voice was rough and crackled from underuse, but was pretty easily heard. Now, what? He could ask about her intentions, which he was pretty sure was what he was supposed to do but found himself unable to come up with anything to ask. “I’m Summer,” He said instead, southern twang slight and golden eyes amicable.

As he heard another voice in reply to Hazel, the young tom turned, only barely stifling a giggle at Shade's rather funny walk. It was clear that the siamese was worried, but that made the walk no less funny. Still, not wanting to actually get caught laughing, Summer straightened up and glanced at Hazel, considering for a moment replying himself before remembering that she was the one who had called out in the first place and deciding that he'd better just leave it up to her.

Hmm? Oh so it seemed there was someone else here. Or some other people considering it looked like there were two people approaching her. The first resembled her physically in terms of color, his sandy-colored fur similar to her own golden pelt, however though he seemed young he looked a bit older than her. "Hi there," she nodded back politely with a smile. "Uh, my name's Hazel. Nice to meet you Summer." Okay so far so good. They seemed nice enough that they wouldn't run her out of the territory.

A second feline approached after the other, this one looking pale with dark blotches on his face, legs, and tail. If anything, he seemed a lot more worried and terrified than she was, which confused her for a second. Had she sounded scared? Sheesh she really had to work on that considering that wasn't what she wanted to be. She was perfectly capable of taking care of herself. After all she had gotten herself this far with no trouble right? ... Right? "Uh yes, I can...uh, sir. Mister. Um. Right, sorry. I was... Shoot I've been following you guys for a while and I guess I figured it was high time I, uh, introduced myself. My name's Hazel. Pleasure to meet you." She never had been very good with speaking to adults.
